That Tele Twang
Despite the stunning variety of T-Style models available - from the Squier Classic Vibe series all the way to the Fender Custom Shop models - each Tele has something in common with the last.
The distinctive Tele Twang is produced on the bridge pickup and gives a bright tone which is perfect for ‘cutting through’ a band and playing lead guitar lines.
Complimenting the twang of the bridge pickup is the warm and mellow-sounding neck pickup that's perfect for rhythm playing, with some modern Telecasters even coming equipped with powerful EMG pickups that alter the sound further.
Try playing some variations to find your favorite tones!
Artist Series
The versatility of the Telecaster is proven in the range available in the Fender Artist Series, which features signature models from Jim Root, James Burton, and Chrissie Hynde amongst many more.
Each signature model utilizes different features such as mahogany body construction, ebony fingerboards, or high-output pickups suited to perfectly match the needs of each artist.
Other T-Style Guitars
Whilst many people view the original Tele design as being the quintessential model to go for if it's a slightly different playing experience you'd like it's worth noting that there are many brands other than Fender that create guitars inspired by this classic single-cutaway design.
If it's a high-performance guitar with killer pickups you're seeking, then you may find what you need amongst the Schecter PT models, ESP LTD TE models, or the Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 axes.
However, if you are interested in the classic Telecaster design, but find yourself on a budget that's best suited to beginner-friendly models, then you will find what you need within our Eastcoast, Squier, and Encore categories.
