Zildjian need no introduction in the drumming world, inspiring countless drummers over the centuries since their origins in 1618 in Constantinople. Used by bands such as The Prodigy, Public Image Ltd, Robbie Williams, Snarky Puppy and many more.

Zildjian’s K family of cymbals offer a dark & rich sound that harken back to the original K cymbals developed in 19th century Turkey. Zildjian have now welcomed the thinnest cymbals to date to their K family, it is as strong as it is light.

With an explosive, dark sound that decays quickly, Zildjian have described it as buttery under your stick with a shimmering effect and max response.

We all know that these are going to sound incredible, just looking at them, holding them you just know, the quality of craft/workmanship from Zildjian is insane at the best of times. I'm not a Zildjian guy and already weighing up the potential change over just to get my hands on these on a more perminant bases, anyway...

Just tapping the bow with my finger they are start to open up with warm full shimmer, striking with a stick an they explode with the classic K darkness we all love.

The K Paper Thins are suitable for most if not all styles, open, warm, dark, fast and a vast dynamic range. The cymbals are far from splashy they absolutely roar if you want them to.

The Paper Thins feel buttery under the stick, with a gorgeous stick sound and controllable wash that can be violent and subtle.

As you go down the line in size from 18-22 the tonal differences are very clear, being K they are a darker sound naturally but comparing the 18 to the 22 is a very dramatic drop in tone which is incredible!
