The bass also comes with an authentic TRBX body shape, a one of a kind design which is crafted to optimise the player's access to the upper frets. So whether it's in the studio or at a show, you have complete hassle-free control of your performance.

Yamaha's craftsmanship is renowned for providing players with premium quality, and the TRBX174 is no different.
The bass body is a lightweight Alder tonewood, ideal for the player who likes to move around on the stage. Giving a versatile rich and chunky resonance, perfect for those gnarly bass lines that you want to stand out.
Customisable Premium Sound
To complete the full premium experience that the bass can offer, the TRBX174 provides two contrasting pickups for different results. The Split-Coil Pickup in the neck acts as the ground tone for the bass, allowing the player to play hard and get gnarly results. Whereas the Single Coil pickup in the bridge gives an enhanced uplift to the mid and high frequencies, making sure your crispy performance cuts through the mix.
But there's more, to refine and customise your tone to your preference, you are provided with two independent volume tones for each pickup and a master tone control to avoid your bass tone being too overwhelming.
