In 1974 Yamaha introduced the Yamaha SG series of guitars, over the years becoming a cult icon. Developed with Carlos Santana, these 'Made in Japan' instruments were in-line with the USA made competitors, with close attention on the fine Japanese craftsmanship that these guitars have.
The Yamaha SG-1820 in Vintage White guitar was designed with vintage influences in mind and was created for the musician that wants a high-spec instrument with retro visuals.
Solid Japanese Construction
The stand out maple Vintage White finish on the mahogany body and maple top, gives this Japanese made instrument a balanced and resonant warm tone with fantastic vintage styling. The firm mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, delivers fretting ease and comfort when navigating the fretboard delivering a confidence in the player for on stage or studio use.
Seymour Duncan 59' Pickups
The SG-1820A features two 59' Seymour Duncan pickups fitted in the neck and bridge. The '59 neck pickup is fitted to the neck has an essence of the late vintage 1950's pickups, producing a sweet sustain, chugging chords, with clear and bright attack. The 59' in the bridge delivers a wide sounding, versatile P.A.F. influenced humbucker with an treble cut full of clarity, full bottom end, and scooped mids. The combination of these two pickups gives a vintage kick out, clear output and perfect detail, cutting through any mix.
Tone Pro Stability
Featuring a Tone Pro Bridge and Saddle set-up, and with Grover Locking Tuners, the string and tuning stability on this instrument is ultra-slick. Confidence for the player whether they're playing on stage, developing that new lick at home or pushing out a chord progression in the studio.
