Grand Piano Sound and Authentic Keys

The all-new flagship MX88 helps combine the "Full Concert Grand Piano" of the Motif series with a Graded Hammer Standard keyboard for that genuine piano feel. Each key is graded accordingly, with the lower keys being more heavily weighted than the higher notes, giving you the impression of an authentic acoustic piano. The ultra-precise velocity curve provided by the ingenius construction of the MX88 gives the musician with an incredibly powerful tool of musical expression - with precise bass tones, clear mids and natural highs produced by the Full Concert Grand's sound generation working perfectly in combination with the "acoustic" key feel, providing an overal authentic grand-piano playing experience.

Musical centrepiece for project and home studios

The USB interface on the MX88 lets you transfer music directly into your PC/laptop, with the built-in audio interface transmitting a stereo channel directly into your PC or iOS device. With the MIDI interface you can also deploy the MX88 as a master keyboard for other synths/samplers, or even trigger its synthesis enginer from external MIDI sources.

You can also utilise the various knobs on the Flagship MX88 to accurately control the parameters of DAW recording software. These comfortable controlling options allow the MX88 to integrate seamlessly into a modern production environment whilst still providing expressive instrument qualities and outstanding sounds.

FM Essential

The MX88 can communicate directly with smartphones and tablets to expand it's capabilities even further. Upon connection to your iOS device you get the addition of the FM Essential app, housing a synthesis engine with more than 250 voices for iconic 80s sounds or pulsating EDM. In addition to this, Virtual Circuitry Modelling (VCM) grants the sound of accurately emulated vintage effects and high-end studio equipment. With VCM you get the characteristics of original component parts, achieving sounds that perfectly mimic those generated by the vintage analogue circuits.

With the MX88 you receive a free copy of Steinberg's Cubase AI, a powerful and comprehensive music production app allowing you to record up to 32 audio tracks in 24-bit/192kHz and 48 MIDI tracks with respective editing options.
