- New Scalloped Bracing Pattern
- Atmosfeel Electronics
- A.R.E. Treatment
- All-Solid Construction
- Ebony Fingerboard and Bridge
- Includes Hard Gig Bag
High Quality Woods
To give you the best possible sound that only gets better the more you play it, the Yamaha FSX3II Red Label electro-acoustic guitar is made with all solid wood construction.
For the top, Yamaha have used solid Sitka Spruce. Known for its rich midrange, fantastic low-frequency response and focused sound, this wood is extremely popular in acoustic guitar building.
Complementing the top in both sight and sound, the Yamaha FSX3II electro-acoustic concert guitar features solid Mahogany back and sides. Visually contrasting the lighter Spruce top, this deeply coloured wood strengthens your midrange while imbuing your tone with added warmth.
As a result, the Yamaha FSX3II has the ideal sound for strumming and fingerstyle performance.
Attached to the body is an African Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard giving you a super smooth playing area that is incredibly durable.
Acoustic Resonance Enhancement
The solid top of the Yamaha FSX3II benefits from Yamaha’s exclusive Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.).
Using a combination of heat, humidity and atmospheric pressure, A.R.E. rapidly ages the wood, giving you incredibly resonance and beautifully, vintage tone.
In short; the Yamaha FSX3II Red Label guitar sounds like you’ve been playing it for years, right from the moment you first pick it up.
Atmosfeel Electronics
You can take to the stage, plug-in and play live with the Yamaha FGX3II electro-acoustic guitar thanks to the amazing new Atmosfeel 3-way pickup and preamp system.
Combining a piezo pickup, a microphone and a proprietary contact sensor, Atmosfeel electronics give you the full natural sound of your guitar.
Essential controls are on board allowing you to dial in your preferred sound, quickly and conveniently.
Microphone Blend – Allows you to adjust the mix between the microphone signal and the combined signals from the piezo and contact sensor
Bass Boost/Cut – Controls a peaking EQ, with the centre frequency raising while boosting and lowering when attenuating. With this system, problematic low frequencies that can cause feedback on stage can be removed but not added.
Line Out Volume Control – For adjusting the overall output level of your guitar sound.
With simple adjustments between these three controls, you can easily find the perfect sound to suit any playing style from delicate fingerpicking to heavy strumming.
Other Fantastic Features
Giving you fuller, stronger tone with extra warmth, the FSX3II features a new bracing style that is optimised to the unique characteristics of the guitar’s tone woods.
What’s more, the Yamaha FSX3II is slightly wider than your standard concert guitar which fills out your sound and adds warmth.
As a result, you get beautiful tone that’s perfect for modern folk music and singer songwriter performance.
Paying tribute to its storied origins, the Yamaha FSX3II retains the original headstock style which is adorned with a traditional truss rod cover that reads “Since 1966”.
High Quality Hardware
Six Gotoh open gear tuners can be found on the headstock, providing precise and secure tuning of your strings while adding to the old school aesthetic of this authentically vintage looking guitar.
Look to the body and you’ll find an Ebony bridge offering great transfer of string energy to the A.R.E. treated solid Sitka Spruce top of the Yamaha FSX3II.
Modern Build, Vintage Tone and Style
The culmination of decades of guitar building experience, modern processes and a healthy respect for heritage, the Yamaha FSX3II gives you authentically vintage tone and style with modern performance capabilities.
Furthermore, the Yamaha FSX3II electro-acoustic guitar comes to you in a padded hard gig bag to protect it on your way to gigs and practice.
