Back in 1966, Yamaha first introduced the FG Series of acoustic guitars with a goal to offer great quality instruments at affordable prices. The FG acoustic guitar has since become one of the world's best selling acoustic guitars.
With time, taste and technology moving on, Yamaha have managed to stay true to the original vision of the FG Acoustic Guitar series by continuing to produce affordable yet high spec instruments.

Every aspect of the FG830 has been crafted to make a better guitar.
Yamaha's in-house research and development division have devised a new scalloped bracing system. This newly devloped bracing coupled with the solid spruce top gives the Yamaha FG830 stronger and louder sound in the low to mid-range frequencies for a fuller bodied sound.
The wood used for the FG830 guitar has been painstakingly and meticulously cured and cried with beautiful hand-sprayed finishes.
