New for 2017, the premium Yamaha A5M ARE Western Electro-Acoustic Guitars are made from a Solid Sitka Spruce top that has been aged with Yamaha's patented A.R.E technology to give the guitar a mellow played in tone and appearance. A solid Rosewood back and sides compliments the spruce top providing a classic scooped mid sound. Combined with the new scalloped bracing, the low and mid projection gives you punchy acoustic sound to carry your music what ever the genre.
Premium Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Made in Japan
The 3-ply African Mahogany neck has been given a matte finish similar to that found on the L-Series models. The A5M has been fitted with a TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuners so you can be assured that tuning will remain stable whilst playing. The new SRT2 Preamp System has been fitted to give you the very best sound reproduction when playing through an amplifier or PA system. 4 simple controls allow you to dial in your preferred tone whilst removing any unwanted frequencies leading to feedback. You can also switch between 2 different mic type simulations and blend this signal with the piezo pickup. Interestingly the battery box has now been moved to be integrated with the end pin jack, this causes a reduction in acoustic sound loss as the amount of holes made in the body during manufacturing has been decreased. It also helps with the weight distribution of the guitar and it will feel more comfortable whether playing stood up or seated.The Yamaha A-Series takes your acoustic performance to the next level with dynamic, natural amplified tone; a refined, powerful acoustic voice and outstanding playability. The Yamaha A5M Electro-Acoustic will be available to demo in your local PMT very soon.
