To create the Reel Machines Virtual Instrument Package, XLN Audio took four of the most sought-after 80s Drum Machines (LinnDrum, DMX, 808 and 909 respectively) and a full Simmons SDS-V Electronic 5-piece Drum Kit (with cymbals and hihats), and recorded them through a variety of analog tape machines, giving them plenty of added warmth and punch. Each instrument recording also utilised genuine vintage plate reverb, that you can blend into your sound to your own desire.
Featuring several presets designed by some of the industry's top sound designers, Reel Machines comes complete with each kit including sounds that range from classic and super-clean, to modern and heavily processed. You can also tweak each of these presets to fit your own needs with ease, thanks to the Addictive Drums 2 engine. As if that wasn't enough, XLN Audio have also created a free Real Machines Beats MIDIpak to help inspire you and get you started with some pre-programmed rhythms.
