Since the 1960s, the V847 has been a key wah sound emanating from the bars and clubs where the rock groups were playing.
Original Specs with Influences by Char
The Vox V847-C Wah Wah is a custom engineered wah pedal based on the original specs from the 1960s with an added twist from Vox working in conjunction with the top Japanese Guitarist, Char.
Born in 1955, Char has built a career as one of Japan's foremost guitarists with influences from Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, The Beatles, The Ventures, Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix releasing his first single, Navy Blue in 1976. He continues to record and produce to this day.
The aim was to produce a wah pedal that was perfect for the modern guitarist. Char's influence on this Vox Wah delivers a 1960s influenced effect with modern customisations.

Powerful output, Improved Sweep
One of the customisations on this pedal is that the frequency range has been set lower with a boosted gain improving the sweep. The Q-value (sharpness of the Wah's peak) has also been adjusted, which has resulted in a more powerful output and a reduced centre of gravity.
Warmer tone and True Bypass
To engineer a warmer tone throughout the sonic output of the V847-C the impedance has been changed which adds to the power but also warms up the tone.
The pedal has been designed with true bypass which lets the signal bypass the circuit when switched off so that the true tone passes through unaffected.
The Vox Wah also has custom improved rubber feet, different than the standard Vox Wahs. Improving the stability and ground movement when operating the wah, and switching it on and off. This gives greater confidence in the unit for the guitar player on stage or working on that precise lick in the studio.

The Vox V847-C Custom Wah Wah has been designed and manufactured in Japan, featuring traditional Japanese artwork on the front and bottom plate making this pedal one of the most aesthetically pleasing pieces on the market.
