What is the difference between the AC30C2 and the AC30C2X?
The AC30C2X is set apart from the AC30C2 as it is equipped with two 12” Celestion Blue speakers which is seen by many as the benchmark for guitar speaker perfection.
Popular with such legendary guitarists as Brian May due to its dampened attack, brilliant bell-like high end, mellow upper mids and warm lows, the Celestion Alnico Blue is part of rock music history.
Classic All-Valve Tone
The VOX AC30C2X amp has two channels; Normal and Top Boost. Each channel has dedicated controls while the Top Boost channel gives you even more options with Treble and Bass controls.
The combination of these two channels allows you to produce some classic sounds while carving out your own sonic identity.
The Master section adds further tonal control giving you Tone Cut and Volume controls to further shape your sound.
The Tone Cut control operates in the power stage as opposed to the preamp stage given you even more control over your sound.
Next there’s the A Master Volume control. Working together with the individual channel volumes, Master Volume allows you to achieve the perfect level of gain-staging.
Adjustment of the AC30C2X’s individual and Master volume controls can take you from a classic clean sound to a powerful overdrive sound.
