The Vox AC15C1X is a Custom Series valve amp fitted with a Celestion Blue speaker offering the fantastic tone that Vox amps are famous for.
Celestion Blue Speaker for That Great British Sound
This version of the custom AC15 is fitted with a 12” Celestion Blue speaker, the same incredible speaker fitted as standard in the legendary AC30.
Originally introduced in 1958, the AC15 was popularised by groups such as The Shadows, being played by legendary guitarist Hank Marvin.
The AC15 also has the honour of being John Lennon’s first Vox amp!
There at the start of the British Invasion, the Vox AC15 is a key ingredient to the beginnings of British rock ‘n’ roll.

Seen by many as the benchmark for guitar speaker perfection, the Celestion Blue is fitted as standard in Vox AC30.
Popular with such legendary guitarists as Brian May due to its dampened attack, brilliant bell-like high end, mellow upper mids and warm lows, the Celestion Alnico Blue is part of rock music history.
Versatile Tones
The VOX AC15 Custom Series combo amp has two separate channels on offer; Normal and Boost.
Both channels are equipped with dedicated volume controls while the Top Boost Channel also boasts Treble and Bass tone controls.
Because of this channel pairing and set of controls you can quickly dial in classic tones or craft our own signature sound.
Classic Effects
Allowing you to add an extra dimension to your sound, the Vox AC15C1X is equipped with a Classic Tremolo effect.
You can adjust both the speed and depth of the Tremolo to get exactly the sound you’re looking for.
The Vox AC15C1X also boasts a real Spring Reverb allowing you to add beautifully warm spaciousness to your sound.
Furthermore, because of the AC15C1X’s footswitch connectivity you can turn the effects on and off as you play using a separately available footswitch.
Pure Valve Power
Giving the Vox AC15C1X its fantastic valve tone is a set of three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84 tubes in the power stage.
These valves drive 15 watts of power through the 12” Celestion G12M Greenback speaker which delivers all that fantastic tone to your ears.
If you’d like to go beyond the internal speaker of the AC15C1X, you have two further options.
The AC15C1X also features a switchable 8/16 ohm jack that allows you to power an external speaker cabinet, switching off the internal speaker.
Furthermore, you’ll also find there’s another output jack, allowing to you run an extra 16 ohm cabinet in addition to the AC15C1X’s internal speaker, giving you a huge sound.
