Steve Gadd’s signature stick is stated by Vic Firth as “The quintessential studio stick!”
Just like the black painted version this stick has a .550” diameter and a slightly short 153/4” length. It has a long taper and a wood, barrel-shaped tip. But, rather than the black finish of the previous model, this stick has a natural lacquer for a different feel. Much more natural and less smooth than the painted option.
One is not necessarily better than the other, its simply personal preference and now you have the option to choose.
If you want sticks that feel exactly like those held by the legend that is Steve Gadd, you now have the option to do so in a natural finish.
