The Vic Firth American Classic CMN Metal Hickory Drumsticks - a long and heavy design specifically for heavy rock and metal drumming. By adding to the length and width of the drumsticks, Vic Firth created the CMN for heavier styles, providing punchy tones with optimal projection. Made from special Hickory, they are durable to the demands of Metal music.
The nylon tips provide a louder, higher pitched cymbal sound and offer more dynamic freedom when playing on a ride cymbal - piercing bell tones are no problem. The oval tip shape provides a more direct response with a smaller surface area, creating a larger spectrum of sound than any other tip type. On drum heads this design also helps create a full-bodies tone, sinking into the head and creating the upmost contact. A shorter taper creates a front heavy stick feel too, providing more power and durability - perfect for heavy-handed drummers and drumming.
