The Builder’s Edition 614ce features a torrefied Sitka Spruce top. An incredibly popular tone wood, Sitka Spruce is known for its broad dynamic range and versatility.

Through Taylor’s proprietary roasting process, the torrefied Sitka Spruce top delivers enhanced touch sensitivity while boasting a lowered damping effect and a more “played-in” tone.

The back and sides are made of Maple which has been re-voiced in order to add more warmth, complexity, volume and sustain to your tone.

Furthermore, the Builder’s Edition 614ce benefits from Taylor’s Silent Satin finish which reduces incidental noise while playing for a more professional performance.
