New V-Class Bracing

New from Taylor is their ground-breaking new bracing design, known as V-Class bracing, which transforms the way the guitar's top vibrates and dramatically enhancing the sound.

Marking a huge departure from traditional X-bracing, V-Class bracing produces notes that are louder, more in tune with each other and with greater sustain.

Using V-Class bracing, the guitar’s soundboard can be both incredible stiff and flexible at the same time, and results in increased volume and sustain while also improving intonation.

Crafting the Taylor 714ce

A grand auditorium style guitar, Taylor’s own signature shape, the 714ce V-Class is a wonderful, all-purpose acoustic guitar.

Making the top of the Taylor 714ce V-Class guitar is Lutz Spruce; a natural hybrid of Sitka and White Spruce with similar traits to Adirondack. This tone wood gives you powerful, rich tone with a lot of volume.

For the back and sides of the 714ce, Taylor have used Indian Rosewood. Traditional and very popular, Bob Taylor himself has said Indian Rosewood is among the greatest tonewoods ever.

With a size that is somewhere between a Dreadnought guitar and a Grand Concert, this Grand Auditorium guitar delivers the best of both worlds with great sound across the spectrum while being perfectly suited to both picking and strumming.

The Taylor V-Class 714ce also features a beautifully shaped venetian cutaway in the body of the guitar.
