Crafting the Taylor 414ce
The Grand Auditorium body shape, Taylor’s signature, is used for the 414ce with its design making for the ultimate all-purpose guitar.
This well-roundedness is enhanced by the use of solid Sitka Spruce as the guitar’s top. Boasting a broad dynamic range and incredible versatility, this is one of the most popular woods in guitar building.
For the back and sides, Taylor have opted for Ovangkol. A relative of Rosewood, it has many of the same tonal characteristics but with a lighter, more eye-catching appearance.
Great Features
The Taylor 414ce benefits from Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing. A great leap forward from the more traditional X-style bracing, V-Class bracing keeps the top extremely stiff yet flexible.
As a result, you get more volume, incredible sustain and more precise intonation.
A Venetian cutaway to the body of the guitar provides you with easier reach of the upper frets for that improved, modern playability.
