The Smallest of Taylor’s Full-Size Body Shapes
As a Grand Concert guitar, the Taylor 322ce 12-Fret is the smallest of all Taylor’s full-size guitars.
With its compact design, you will find the Taylor 322ce extremely comfortable to hold and sit with.
Articulate sound with the tone acutely focused means this guitar is great for recording in the studio and lends itself extremely well to fingerstyle playing and intricate lead lines.
Crating the Taylor 322ce 12-Fret
Tropical Mahogany has been used as the top wood for the Taylor 322ce. Not only does it look beautiful thanks to its dark, natural grain but it sounds great too.
As a particularly hard and dense wood, Tropical Mahogany gives you a fantastically focused sound which opens up the more you play it with the tone evolving to become fuller and richer.
The back and sides have been made with Tasmania Blackwood, which adds volume to your performance along with focused midrange and rich top-end.
Attached to the body with a study scarf joint is a Tropical Mahogany neck that holds a highly playable West African Ebony fretboard.
The neck has a satin finish making it both comfortable and fast to play while its shorter 24-7/8” scale length makes it very manageable, particularly if you have smaller hands.
A venetian cutaway adds a modern touch to the guitar’s aesthetic while granting easy access to the higher frets.
V-Class Bracing
Recently, Taylor have pioneered the use of V-Class bracing. Moving far beyond the more traditional X-bracing, V-Class bracing improves your guitar’s performance in nearly every way.
This ground-breaking style of guitar bracing ensures the top remains incredibly stiff while maintaining flexibility which results in increased volume and sustain.
You will also find that Taylor V-Class bracing ensures the top is more in tune with the vibrating strings, improving intonation.
As the new standard for Taylor guitars, V-Class bracing has raised the bar for acoustic guitar sound and craftsmanship.
Expression System 2 Electronics
With a lot of electro-acoustic guitars, while they might sound fantastic unplugged, as soon as you plug them in to play live, you lose all that richness of tone and end up with something weak and brittle sounding.
Fortunately, this is certainly not the case with the Taylor 322ce 12-fret electro-acoustic guitar.
Allowing you to plug in and play live and loud, the Taylor 322ce features the Taylor Expression System 2.
Featuring a breakthrough behind-the-saddle-design, the ES2 electronics capture the rich and dynamic characteristics of the guitar.
Volume and Tone controls on the preamp along with a newly designed gain structure means you get fantastic output that any artist or sound mixer will appreciate.
Beautiful Looks, Tone and Playability
We would be remiss not to mention the gorgeous of looks of this guitar.
With a shaded edge burst over the dark Mahogany top along with black binding and an all satin finish, the Taylor 322ce has a uniquely dusk-like and earthy aesthetic.
Add to that the Italian acrylic small diamond inlays which nicely contrast with the dark Ebony fretboard and you have an all-around beautiful guitar.
Best of all, the tone and playability of the Taylor 322ce 12-fret match the incredible looks.
As the icing on the cake, the guitar comes to you in a Taylor deluxe hardshell brown guitar case – the perfect way to protect your new investment.
