The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch 4 piece shell pack, provides a superior, full sound across the spectrum. Enhanced low-mid frequencies add a saturated wave of warmth and punch. The shells are made from a hybrid blend of walnut and birch, which is unique to the Starclassic series. The birch helps to add extra bite and a cutting attack to balance perfectly with the full-bodied walnut tone.
Finished with a funky and striking Phantasm Oyster lacquer, the Starclassic Walnut/Birch is a drumkit of exquisite tone and appearance. Experience the unique tone and solid design now available with the Tama Starclassic.
Hybrid Tone
With Tamas extensive experimentation to find the perfect combo of birch and walnut tone woods, they landed with a shell construction of 4ply 6mm birch and 2ply inner layer of black walnut. This kicking combo provides ultimate warmth and body from the walnut and solid attack coming from the birch.
Bass drums comin a littel thick which you would expect with a thicker 8mm 5ply outer layer to stand out from the toms, making the tone richer with just the right amount of resonance and very powerful gut crunching punch.
