Crafted from 100% Maple, the 6ply, 5mm shells (8ply, 7mm Bass Drum) deliver a crisp, warm sound with heaps of sonic character and resonance - Paired with Black Nickel Plated Die-Cast Hoops, you've got superior projection on tap.
Hyper-Drive Toms
Further enhancing the Hyper-Drives distinctive punchy tone, the duo of rack tom features a shorter-than-usual depth to deliver an enhanced attack and a quicker response time. Complete with TAMA's innovative Star-Cast mounting system, you can be sure you're squeezing every single drop of full-bodied goodness from your shells.
Sound Bridge High-Tension Lugs
Finished with Sound Bridge high-tension, low-mass lugs - this unique lug system was specifically designed for the Superstar, delivering all the benefits of the traditional high-tension lug with reduced shell contact for an increase in overall drum resonance - it's a win-win situation!
