The Tama Quick Set Hi-Hat Clutch is designed to take all of the hassles out of using, changing, or adjusting your hi-hats. The Quick Set Clutch features a switch at the bottom which slides in both directions, offering set and release with just one touch. You can also remove the switch for easy access to the bottom nut and felt.
Instead of a regular screw design, this clutch's unique switch function on the bottom nut means that it is impossible for your hi-hat to come undone. In Use
This is absolutely splendid for the gigging drummer who is constantly on the move packing up and down their gear. There still seems to be a nice amount of play in the top hihat too which feels nice due to the little ridge stopping the top hi hat cymbals from being tighened to within an inch of its life!
Most may turn their nose up at such a small bit of tech, but rest assured once they have one of these they will not go back to the standard screw design. I got one, and haven't looked back since.
