The second generation is here and it means business - maintaining all of the same rich magnetic tape tonality from the original, this V2 model of Strymons' magnetic tape machine monster incorporates a vast range of new features and performance enhancements to keep you doing what you do best!
Strymon El Capistan V2 New Features:
Full MIDI Implementation - You can now control just about every single parameter remotely with MIDI commands from your controller or DAW via the MIDI Jack or USB-C connection, complete with MIDI Clock Sync and 300 MIDI preset locations - perfect for the performance perfectionist who knows what they want and when they want it!
Spring Reverb - Matching some of the more obscure tape echo machines that featured an integrated spring reverb tank, Strymon have really pushed the vintage vibe to the limit, allowing you to garnish your tones with some lush spring reverb character.
Improved Hardware - With a newly improved premium analog JFET input circuit, complete with mono or stereo input switch, you've now got even better responsiveness for your playing. Reinforced with a brand new ARM DSP chip, you've got more processing power on-tap, producing greater sonic nuance and consuming less pedalboard energy overall - it's a win/win situation!
