To achieve this, Shure have ensured that the open back design of the SRH1440 facilitates a natural audio response. Air and soundwaves are able to pass through the outer shell without obstruction thus giving you a stereo soundscape with increased breadth. The sound is further boosted by 40mm neodymium drivers delivering full range audio and rich, controlled bass.
The replaceable velour ear pads and premium padded headband give the SRH1440 open back headphones unparalleled comfort and they’ve been designed to stay comfortable even after hours of use so that they’re ideal for long sessions in the studio where discomfort can detract from your critical listening.

Shure have even packaged a set of replacement velour ear pads and a replacement cable in with the SRH1440 headphones so if something should happen you already have replacements ready to go.
