With onboard Prethos preamplifier technology, the KSM42 guarantees low-self noise and minimal distortion for a crystal clear recording quality straight out of the box.

Dual-Diaphragm Design: Showcasing an ultra-thin 2.5mm gold-layered low-mass Mylar diaphragm, the KSM42 provides a spectacular transient response. Resulting in an impactful yet uncompromised sound quality that's ideal for recording vocals, drums, guitar cabs, strings and much more.

Enhanced Shock Mount Design: Consisting of an open cage ShureLock rubber suspension shock mount along with low profile Popper Stopper, the KSM42 provides a studio-grade performance whilst still being able to handle consistent use.
