As Seymour Duncan’s most popular pickup, the JB delivers a perfect balance of crisp highs, powerful lows, and a signature upper-midrange boost, making it ideal for everything from blues and country to metal and hard rock. Whether you’re riffing with chunky chords or playing lead with vocal-like clarity, the JB Model humbucker maintains precision, detail, and dynamic response.
The Alnico 5 magnet provides a smooth, musical tone with enhanced sustain and harmonics. This hot output pickup works particularly well when paired with a 500k volume pot for enhanced high-end cut, or a 250k pot for smoother, rounded tones. It’s also a great match with neck pickups like the Jazz or ’59 models, though some players prefer using the JB in the neck for a fat, rich solo tone.
