Originally developed for Johnny Farina of Santo & Johnny, the duo behind the legendary song Sleep Walk, our Antiquity for Stringmaster is wound for that distinctive 8-string Lap Steel sound. The front-side pickup is wound “top going” and North polarity. The rear-side pickup is wound “top coming” and South polarity. When used in combination with each other the pickups will be hum-cancelling. Both pickups have the traditional pole spacing and the magnets are protruding from the top and bottom of the flatwork for a smooth even response. Each pickup is recreated to fit into your old classic and comes with schematic and mounting screws. Hookup wire is the classic “push back” cloth wire.
