Back in 1976, Schecter Guitar Research was opened up as a repair shop in Van Nuys, California, but after gaining a great reputation for manufacturing replacement guitar necks, bodies, and pickups, by 1979 they had gone on to producing their first fully assembled guitars.

Building The Trad Van Nuys

This excellent S-Style guitar features all of that classic Schecter tone and performance, in a more refined and understated format.

The Traditional Van Nuys sports an instantly-familiar dual-cutaway body shape, crafted from Ash, and has been given a Gloss Natural finish.

This combination makes for a more classically-styled instrument which delivers those famed Schecter performance levels.

Plays Like A Dream

In true Schecter fashion, the Trad Van Nuys comes equipped with a fast-playing Thin "C"-shaped neck. However, unlike other models, the Maple in this case has been put through a heat-treating process.

The "Roasting" process removes all moisture and impurities from the Maple, which strengthens the neck and results in a super-smooth playing surface.

Not only does this guitar sport a Roasted Maple neck, but the fingerboard is crafted from the same material, allowing you to perform fast and fluid lead lines with ease.

Versatile Electronics

Powering the voice on this guitar you will find a trio of Schecter USA pickups in a HSS configuration - a USA SuperRock Vintage humbucker at the bridge, and a pair of USA MonsterTone single coil pickups at the neck and middle.

Together, these pickups will offer you a massive array of tonal options - especially when you factor in the Push/Pull coil-split function for the humbucker - and can take you from aggressive to delicate with ease.
