Solo II with Hand Wound Pickups

Classic Single Cutaway Design

Fans of the Gibson Les Paul will notice the familiar design of the Solo II Custom body. Crafted from Mahogany, the arched top body of this guitar has a single cutaway design that allows for improved reach of the upper frets; an essential design point for playing high-flying solos and adventurous lead guitar melodies.

White multi-ply binding contrasts beautifully and works well with the trans black burst finish of the body, protecting the guitar and looking great at the same time.

With set-neck construction, the Solo-II Custom has a Mahogany 3-pc neck that has a thin ‘C’ shape improving playability and comfort. The fretboard is a dark Ebony wood and features mother of pearl block inlays.

The neck also benefits from a compound radius allowing you to get great low-action bends without fretting out.

Incredible, Hand Wound, USA Made Pickups

Giving the Solo II Custom its awesome sound are Schecter USA Pasadena pickups. These pickups are hand wound in the USA at the Schecter Custom Shop and feature a great build with sound to match.

Installed at the neck pickup position is the Shecter USA Pasadena pickup which delivers a nice, full bodied yet articulate sound.

In the bridge pickup position is the Schecter USA Pasadena Plus pickup; an upgraded of the standard Pasadena pickup and originally created for Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance as a custom-wound pickup.

The Pasadena Plus is a humbucker style pickup with increased output and upper-mids without sounding scooped. It delivers great tonal variety with an articulate and defined sound.

To craft your tone, the Solo II Custom has two Volume Controls a Push-Pull Tone Control and a 3-way pickup selector switch.

High End Hardware

To complete this great guitar, a number of high end hardware features have been installed.

A locking Nashville style bridge, the TonePros Model T3BT has been fitted along with a TonePros T1Z Tailpiece.

For great sustain and perfect intonation an Ernie Ball compensated nut is fitted at the top of the neck and Schecter’s own locking tuners are found at the headstock delivering quick, precise and extremely stable tuning that locks your strings right where you want them.

Chrome coloured hardware contrasts and complements the black finish for an excellent overall aesthetic and with the beautiful Flamed Maple top showing through the transparent black burst finish the Solo II Custom looks almost as good as it sounds.
