With its instantly familiar looks, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the Schecter Diamond J was "just another J-bass", however this is an entirely new kind of monster.
Featuring a super-fast thin "C" neck profile, Schecter Custom bridge (with the option of Strings Thru or Top Loaded, depending on your preference), and a set of hand-wound Schecter Custom Shop USA Monstertone-J pickups with Coil Tapping function, this is a J-bass designed to appeal to the modern player.
Monstertone J Pickups
Despite being a fully passive pickup, the two-coil-wound Ceramic 8 magnet in the Monstertone J's is incredibly powerful, and produces a much louder, more aggressive sound to a traditional single coil.
However, if you'd prefer a more vintage-sounding voice fear not: the Master Tone control comes complete with a Push-Pull function to activate the Coil Tapping circuit, which will do that for you.
