The Professionals' Cymbal Choice
Played by many famous drummers including Mike Portnoy, Mike Peters and Ben Hall to name a few, the Sabian HH 22" Rock Ride offers a professional cutting sound that's perfect for the loudest of rock bands.
Sound Characteristics
The, natural finish, heavy weight, Sabian HH 22" Ride is made from B20 bronze alloy which provides a warm, dark, smooth tone. This contrasts well with the bright, sharp, cutting bell sound perfect for penetrating the classic loud guitars of rock music. The rock ride is very responsive allowing it to really open up for loud, live performances or to be slightly more controlled for studio work.
Hand-Hammered Process
The very popular range of HH cymbals are traditionally hand-hammered into shape and sound by high skilled craftsmen. Each cymbal is hit between 2000 and 4000 times to create a cymbal with increased musicality, tonal complexity and unmatched sonic texture.
Once hammered the cymbals are carefully lathed to thin the cymbal to the desired gauge while added those crucial tone grooves. Cymbals are then trimmed to an exact diameter and the edges are buffed to a smooth finish.
All cymbals are individually hand-tested twice to ensure they fit the parameters of the series and model.
This painstaking process and attention to detail ensures a cymbal with consistent characteristics across the range for a professional, robust cymbal that sounds great with every hit.
