The Sabian AAX 22” Thin Brilliant Finish Ride Cymbal offers a slightly brighter top end response than the natural finish version, combined with complex lows and superb crash ability.
Bright Ride, Great Crash
Released at NAMM 2019 as part of the AAX revamp, this 22” Thin Brilliant Ride injects a whole new breadth of sound into the AAX series.
The reenergised AAX series involves the introduction of new cymbals, the removal of less popular models and the maintenance of the Omni, Aero, Freq and X-Plosion.
The new additions feature a completely new hammering process which works to provide a wider frequency range and a much more versatile depth of tone.

Small Raw Bell
This Sabian AAX Thin Ride features a much smaller bell than that usually found on a cymbal of this size.
The smaller bell works to keep the weight of the ride to a minimum which allows it to open up quickly to deliver bright blasts of crash tone.
Providing a great way to achieve a wider range of sound from a smaller setup, this ride accommodates crisp ride patterns and impactful crash accents.
The result is a ride that provides bright stick articulation, cutting bell tone and full swelling crash wash.
New Style Hammering
Sabian have used a completely new hammering process in the creation of the new AAX cymbals which serves to deliver an increased range of frequency.
This new hammering style features the use of a larger, rounder peen that works to create a cymbal with a new look and sound.
Creating a much more visibly hammered cymbal surface, the hammering process expands the frequency response of the ride by adding more highs as well as incorporating a more complex, slightly darker character to the lows.
In addition, the brilliant finish of this 22” ride also helps to add an extra hint of shimmering sparkle to the stick response for extra shiny highs.
The result is a versatile ride filled with bright stick articulation, dark lows and full crash wash.
