Thinner Feeling Heavy Ride
Introduced at NAMM 2019 as part of the transformed AAX series, this Sabian Heavy Ride adds a new palette of sound to the AAX line.
The newly revamped range sees the delisting of less popular options, the persistence of successful models and the introduction of all new cymbals.
Utilising a whole new hammering process, this heavy ride cymbal reacts more like a thinner ride to provide greater crash response, increased highs and darker lows.

The Thin Heavy Ride
As with all the new additions to the AAX range, this 22 inch heavy ride features a whole new hammering process.
Providing a much more visibly hammered cymbal surface, this new hammering style uses a larger, rounder peen which works to create an AAX ride cymbal with a new look and sound.
As well as the visible changes, the hammering process causes the heavy ride to react in a thinner way than traditional heavy rides which serves to aid crash ability.
The frequency width of the cymbal is also expanded as a result of the hammering process, resulting in added highs that are much brighter, as well as adding a hint of darkness to the lows.
The result is a heavy ride that feels much thinner to provide great crash response, increased bright highs and slightly darker, more complex lows.
Great Crash Ability
The combination of a thinner feeling cymbal and the use of a larger raw bell means this heavy ride cymbal offers a brilliant crash response.
Featuring a bell that's much larger than typically found on a ride of this size, the 22 inch heavy ride is capable of a surprisingly agile crash response.

Returns
If you and your item aren’t getting along, you have 14 days from when you receive the goods to contact our PMT experts either by phone or email to return your item.
