The Sabian AAX 20 inch Medium Brilliant Finish Ride Cymbal combines great crash ability, brighter highs and complex dark tone to provide modern drummers with a versatile range of sound.
Sabian Unbound AAX
Released at NAMM 2019 alongside a controversial new logo, this medium ride is part of the newly transformed AAX cymbal range.
The reenergised AAX series features new hi-hats, crashes and rides plus the delisting of less favoured models and the persistence of the popular Aero, X-Plosion, Freq, Omni cymbals.
The newly introduced cymbals feature a whole new hammering process which serves to provide a wider range of frequency and a much more versatile depth of tone.

Thin Feeling Medium
The Sabian 20 inch Medium Ride features a brand-new hammering process which works to create a ride with a much thinner feel.
In addition to this thinner response, the medium ride also has a smaller raw bell which helps to keep the weight of the ride to a minimum allowing it to open up quickly to deliver big bursts of accenting crash tone.
Combining bright stick articulation, accenting bell tone and full washing crash response, this 20 inch ride provides a versatile range of sound from one cymbal.
New Style Hammering
The overhaul of the AAX series brings with it the introduction of a completely new hammering process which not only provides a new look but also a new sound.
This new hammering style uses a larger, rounder peen to create a much more visibly hammered cymbal finish combined with an extended band of frequency.
Helping to provide a thinner feel, this process expands the top end of the ride to provide increased brighter highs whilst injecting a slight darkness to the lows.
The brilliant finish also provides an extra layer of shimmering brightness to the already increased highs for an extra hint of sparkle.
With its increased bright highs and lusciously dark, complex lows, this Sabian ride is a great option for a wide range of musical styles and settings.
