Those of you familiar with the now-famous Roland Blues Cube Hot guitar amps will be pleased at this new entry to their range, the "British EL84 Modified"! Unlike the original's American Tweed sound, this new amplifier has been specially tuned to recreate the voice of a traditional British combo amp with EL84 tubes (aka the "class A" sound), and offers you an incredibly compact 30 watts of gig-ready amplification.
Special Edition Amp with Authentic British Tone & Response
Created using Roland's acclaimed Tube Logic design approach, the "British EL84 Modified" Blues Cube recreates that authentic Brit Combo sound made famous during the golden age of British rock music. You're left with all the tonal characteristics of those excellent amps, including glassy clean chime at lower volumes and creamy power tube distortion when cranked. This amp is ideal for all sorts of classic rock and power pop styles.

Clean Crunch With a Single Control Knob
Just like those traditional British tube amps, the Roland Blues Cube Hot "British EL84 Modified" offers a huge range of tones from a single Volume control knob. Whether you want clean, natural tube fullness and bite at lower volumes, or an ever-increasing crunch as you turn it up, this amp has it all. But wait, there's more! This amp also comes with a Boost switch, giving you the option of even more gain and thickness, as well as a Tone switch to kick in a sparkling high-range presence. This amp is also fully compatible with your favourite stompboxes, letting you add further shape to your sound with all the extra gain that they provide!
Wide-Open Sound, Whatever The Volume!
As anyone who has ever used a tube amp will tell you: to get the amp to really sing, you need to "crank that volume right up there!". Whilst I would normally advocate this kind of behaviour, I also know that it's easy for a tube amp to be played too loudly, especially in an enclosed space. However, with Roland's Tube Logic, the Blues Cube manages to authentically deliver those complex distortion characterstics of output tubes and their output transformer interaction, even at lower volume levels! This is thanks largely to the amp's inbuilt Power Control, which allows you to set the output at one of four settings (the lowest being 0.5 Watts) and then really crank up your volume to grab that sweet tube-amp tone that we've all grown to know and love.
Maintenance-Free and Lightweight
The modern design of the Blues Cube manages to eliminate all of the drawbacks usually found in all-tube amplifiers powerful enough for stage use, the main ones being weight, fragility and regular maintenance. This amp is essentially maintenance-free, and has been carefully designed to be lightweight in every area that doesn't affect the tone.
A Whole Host of Modern Appointments
Aswell as on-board Reverb, the Blues Cube Hot features a rear-panel equipped with a footswitch jack for remote switching of the Boost and Tone functions, as well as a USB jack to help capture the amp's rich tones directly into your favourite computer recording app.
