One of Remo’s most popular snare drum heads. The Remo Controlled Sound Coated Reverse Black Dot Snare Drum Head is constructed with 1-ply of 10-mil coated film and a 5-mil bottom black dot, providing medium and heavy-duty drumhead characteristics with full flexibility and colour of sound.
The thinner single-ply construction provides exceptional responses, with a well timed sustain that brings the snare to the front of your mix. The 5-mil centre control dot greatly increases the durability of the head and adds tonal focus.
Coated drumheads provide a slightly warmer tone to clear drum heads, alongside offering more resonance, sustain and durability.
In Use
The most popular snare head and for blooming good reason, the response and feel is awesome and rims shots are like gun shots, medium to high tuning best suited/recommended.
Even though its a single ply head it really holds up to punishment due to the bottom dot, like a coated ambassador thats been to the gym is how it feels and sounds.
The sensitivity is really audible especially when it comes down to ghost notes and louder single hits, there is clear definition. Yes the drum shells has the higher percentage in these aspects but have the wrong head on your drum it can really affect those out comes.
