The PRS S2 McCarty 594, seen here with a gorgeous Scarlet Red finish, is a more affordable take on one of the most-coveted PRS guitars in recent years.
These instruments are built upon a design originally inspired by legendary guitar maker Ted McCarty and offer an incredible combination of tone, aesthetics and playability.
Vintage Inspiration With Rock Solid Design
The PRS McCarty 594 was originally released as a rare Private Stock model, then released as part of the Core lineup.
Now, for the first time ever, you can own this guitar as part of the mid-priced S2 range, and we honestly couldn't be happier!

Constructing the S2 McCarty 594
Taking inspiration from the incredible Private Stock and Core McCarty 594 models, this S2 guitar offers instantly-comfortable playability.
With its comfortably-shaped Mahogany Body and Maple cap, the guitar delivers a naturally warm and resonant tone, with plenty of high-end snap.
In addition to this, the Mahogany neck sports a Pattern Vintage profile, and is capped with a bound Rosewood fingerboard.
The 594 in the guitar's name is derived from its 24.594" scale length - which ensures the guitar remains in tune and is intonated the entire length of the neck, whilst offering increased comfort for your fretting hand.
Vintage-Style Voice
Complimenting the natural tones generated by the guitar's construction is a set of 85/15 "S" humbuckers, sitting in the neck and bridge positions.
These pickups help give the guitar the rich and articulate voice that PRS are renowned for, and are further enhanced by the two Push/Pull Tone functions which activate the Coil-Tap circuit on each pickup.
When the Coil Tap circuits are activated, these pickups are transformed from Humbucker to true Single-Coil mode, making the guitar one of the most versatile in the current PRS lineup.
