PRS Artist Series Guitar
The PRS Silver Sky brings together elements of some favourite guitars of the early 1960s with modern-day PRS know-how. The end-result is a guitar that sports a number of familiar-looking aesthetics, but is uniquely PRS in terms of tone and playability.
Featuring a lightweight Alder body, with a vintage-style neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard inlaid with PRS Birds, the PRS John Mayer Silver Sky is built to perform in style.

First of all, the vintage-style Tremolo bridge has been setup flush to the body, making the guitar acoustically louder, and reducing the Signal to Noise Ratio of the pickups.
Secondly, the tuning machines may be of a vintage, closed-back design, but don't let that fool you: the internal mechanism is what you'd find on the standard PRS Locking tuners! This not only offers a superior level of tuning stability, but also allows for much fast and more precise string changes.
Each of these components, along with everything else on the guitar, comes together to provide an incredible playing experience, whether it's your first time or your thousandth.
Custom-Voiced Pickups
Sitting in the Neck, Middle and Bridge positions on the PRS John Mayer Silver Sky, you'll find a set of 635JM single coil pickups. These pickups have been specially designed for the PRS John Mayer Silver Sky, and feature a tone that's vintage in nature, but which has been tweaked for the modern player.
Featuring a higher Signal to Noise ratio than a standard Single Coil pickup, the 635JM's produce a full, round, and musical tone that never gets ice picky (unlike some vintage pickups)r.
