The Quintessential PRS

This incredible, versatile guitar boasted boutique stylings to go with it's phenomenal tone, and it's popularity continues to soar through to this day.

PRS Custom 24 Piezo Body

  • Top Wood: Carved Figure Maple
  • Back Wood: Mahogany
  • Finish: Aquamarine

As far as electric guitar tonewood combinations go, Figured maple and Mahogany is a tough one to beat. Used by some of the biggest names in guitar manufacturing for almost seven decades, and played by some of the leading names in the industry, its legacy speaks for itself.

With the Mahogany back you get a warm and mellow sounding tone, with plenty of punch. Add the Flamed Maple for a fast attack, snappy overtones, and lots of natural sustain, and you're onto a winner.

PRS Custom 24 Pickup Switching

In addition to this, as the name implies, this PRS Custom 24 also features a Piezo pickup. This pickup allows you to blend a mixture of electric and acoustic sounds when you play, giving you even more tonal variety at your disposal.

Unlike other Custom 24 Models, this guitar features a second output socket. The setup on this guitar allows you to send two distinct signals (Magnetic and Piezo) to your amplifier(s) of choice, or even utilise the Blend control alongside the Mix/Mag Mode to deliver a blended rendition of both sounds to the same output.

Add to this a tone and volume control, and you have yourself an incredibly versatile guitar that would suit just about any musical situation.
