VST Support

You asked and Propellerhead listened; with version 9.5, Reason finally supports VSTs. Just drag and drop from your browser, use CV with your plugins, add Players and put them in Combinators with Reason’s own devices or the Rack extensions. Add any plugin you want into your workflow and Reason

9.5 provides a better experience than ever, whether you’re composing, recording or producing.

Reason 9.5 finds all the VSTs you have on your computer, displays them alongside all your other Reason devices and you can simply drag them over into your rack.

Player Devices, Scales & Chords

Reason 9.5 allows you to add Players to your Reason instruments, bringing with them a whole new dynamic to your projects, while a Scales & Chords Player filters and remaps your playing to ensure you’re always in key.

The fantastic addition of Chord mode means you can scale-perfect chords with just one finger; ideal for composers with a lot of ideas without a background in piano and keyboard playing. Get full, lush sounding key ensembles with one finger!

Note Echo and Dual Arp

Add beautifully atmospheric notes to your projects using the Note Echo mode. Trailing echoes of your performance create a wonderful dynamic sound and you have the ability to adjust the intensity and frequency of the sound or even transpose the notes to create falling or rising notes at your creative whim.

With the new Dual Arp feature provided in Reason 9.5, you get two polyphonic arpeggiators in one. Both have traditional arpeggio settings in addition to a new pattern mode which allows you to create deep, intricate polyphonic patterns as you play.

1000 New Synth Sounds, Pitch Edit and Player Combination

Taking you to a whole new level of sonic potential, the Reason 9.5 comes with 1000 all new, high quality synth patches created by world leading sound designers.

Pitch Edit gives you the power to give that professional polish to vocal recordings, taking them soaring to new heights. Reason 9.5 still features the extremely popular time stretch to adjust your vocal recordings but now with you have the ability to really fine tune the pitch and timing for that professional studio perfect sound.

What’s more; the Reason 9.5 update allows you to combine your Players to create some incredible new sounds. For example; you could feed the Note Echo feature through Scales & Chords to create an awesome arpeggio of chords in exotic scales or even combine the Dual Arp with the Note Echo to produce some seriously out there arpeggiator sounds. There’s so much potential here; the possibilities are endless.

Improved Connectivity, Support for Ableton Lin and Plugin Delay Compensation

With the new Reason 9.5, you can select MIDI or automation data and reverse it. Reason 9.5 can also up your musical projects to a whole new world of collaboration with Link enabled apps on both desktop or iOS so you can sync Reason with other apps over Wi-Fi via Link.

Furthermore; ensuring you’re in phase at all times, Reason 9.5 features plugin delay compensation and a patchable rack allowing you route audio any which way you want.
