Carter McLean started his drumming journey at the age of 10 years old playing in and around his local area while growing up. Noticed by a member of Stevie Wonder's band, he started playing with icon musician Roy Ayers in Harlem.
He eventually took over playing the drums for The Lion King musical in New York City. He also tours, teaches, and sessions in the studio.
