PreSonus Quantum – an expandable 26x32 Thunderbolt 2 audio interface and all-around studio command centre that offers ultra-high definition audio capabilities.
Thunderbolt 2 Audio Interface
Fully utilising the lightning fast speed of Thunderbolt 2 bus, and ADAT Optical I/O, the PreSonus Quantum audio and MIDI interface provides 26 inputs and 32 outputs with seriously low latency.
Super high quality 24-bit 192 kHz recording and playback audio along with recallable XMAX microphone preamps and expansion capabilities when you need to grow make the PreSonus Quantum Thunderbolt audio interface really stand out from the competition.
Designed for Speed
Speed was the main goal behind the design of the PreSonus Quantum, with every design choice that has gone into the development of this expandable thunderbolt audio interface having been made with this goal in mind.
Boasting high-speed Thunderbolt 2 connectivity, direct-to-DAW architecture with no DSP, the PreSonus Quantum represents the fastest, lowest-latency interface that PreSonus have ever produced.
State-of-the-art 24-bit, 192 kHz converters with 120 dB of dynamic range along with amazing expansion potential and software compatibility make the PreSonus Quantum a formidable package.
Expandable Up to 96 In and Out
The Quantum provides you with two combo mic/line/instrument inputs and six combo mic/line inputs, each featuring +48V phantom power and XMAX preamps.
Giving you further connectivity options, the PreSonus Quantum also sports two ¼” TRS main outputs, eight ¼” TRS aux outputs and two independent headphone outputs with dedicated volume controls.
ADAT Optical I/O and S/PDIF stereo digital I/O allows you to have up to 18 digital inputs and outputs.
While this is quite comprehensive in itself, if you should ever need to expand, the PreSonus Quantum has got you covered. Using Thunderbolt, you can stack up to four separate PreSonus Quantum interfaces for a huge system with up to 96 in and out.
Furthermore, BNC world clock I/O keeps your Quantum and other devices perfectly in sync and you also have MIDI I/O on offer for a whole world of MIDI potential.
Audiophile-Grade Sound Quality
Making the most of cutting-edge, professional level digital converts, recallable preamps and low-jitter clocking combine to deliver the highest levels of recording and playback audio.
Operating at up to 192 kHz, the PreSonus Quantum provides ultra-high-definition mixing and recording capabilities.
Recallable XMAX Class A analogue microphone preamps provide extremely high headroom with deep lows, sparkling highs and incredibly rich overall sound so you can hear every last detail of your recordings.
Each input and output are equipped with high-quality converters and provide 120 dB of dynamic range, capturing all the complex harmonics in your music with no audible distortion.
Great Software Integration
The PreSonus Quantum audio interface has a wonderfully tight integration with Studio One which provides you with full preamp control getting you right into the heart of your recording environment.
If you should need to mix while away from your computer, Studio One Remote is available on iOS devices, offering you some fantastically powerful control at your fingertips.
You can also control the PreSonus Quantum’s onboard features using the free UC Surface control software.
Even when using third-party recording software, you can get remote access using the UC Surface software which includes a real-time analyser allowing you to monitor your audio streams.
The PreSonus Quantum also comes with the Studio Magic Plug-In suite, giving you even more creative control over your projects. These plug-ins have been specially chosen from names behind some of the greatest virtual instruments and effects, allowing you to add some real professional level production to your mixes.
