The ZVEX Channel 2 is a compact boost and overdrive pedal derived from the second channel of ZVEX's Super Duper 2-in-1 pedal. It features two simple controls: Master Volume and Gain, allowing users to achieve a range of tones from a clean boost to light overdrive. The Gain control adjusts both the gain and DC bias on the MOSFET transistor simultaneously, providing up to +24dB of boost. At lower gain settings, the pedal offers an input impedance of 5 million ohms, enhancing the sparkle and clarity of your guitar's tone, especially when connected directly without other pedals or tuners in between. This high input impedance can also compensate for tone loss over long cable runs. With the Master Volume turned up, the Channel 2 functions similarly to ZVEX's renowned Super Hard-On pedal, delivering a transparent boost. When the Master Volume is dialed down, the Gain can be increased to produce clear, natural-sounding overdrive, making it a versatile addition to any pedalboard.
