The Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat electro-acoustic guitar, seen here in a great looking natural finish, is based on Armstrong's own battered old '60s Fender acoustic.

Singer and guitarist of seminal punk band, Rancid, Tim Armstrong has been behind some fantastic punk songs and is credited for being a huge influence on the revival of punk rock in the USA and bringing it into the mainstream.

Crafting the Fender Hellcat

The body of the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat has been made with a Solid Mahogany top. Being solid Mahogany, this Tim Armstrong signature guitar produces a rich, resonant tone that will improve with age. Scalloped bracing gives enhances resonance while ensuring a sturdy build.

Attached to the body is a comfortable "C" shape Maple neck with a a great looking Walnut fretboard holding 20 frets.

While the Fender Hellcat signature guitar is based on Tim Armstrong’s ‘60s Fender acoustic, Tim has put is stamp on it with pearl acrylic Hellcat logos as position markers on the third, fifth and seventh frets with a skull design at the twelfth fret.

As another nod to the punk legend this guitar is made for and a seal of approval, the truss rod cover features Tim Armstrong’s signature.

Quality Electronics and Hardware

Allowing you to plug-in and play live and loud with great sound, this Tim Armstrong Hellcat comes equipped with a Fishman Isys III system with active onboard preamp.

With its built-in three-band EQ, the electronics of the Fender Hallcat allows you to adjust the bass, middle and treble frequencies to really shape your tone.

For added convenience, you’ll also find a built-in chromatic tuner so you can tune your guitar whenever you need to and without having to carry around a separate tuner.

Up on the headstock of the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat electro-acoustic guitar, chrome die-cast machine heads allow for quick and precise tuning of your strings.

Down on the body, you’ll find a Rosewood vintage style Fender Viking Bridge which offers great transfer of energy from your strings to the resonating solid Mahogany top of the guitar. A compensated saddle is in place, ensuring accurate intonation across the guitar.
