The Schecter Damien-5 Diamond Series 5-string bass is marketed toward hard rock and metal players, but I’ve been using it successfully for pop and indie rock. It has a great consistent tone across the entire neck, and a tight warm sound with a good amount of growl when you want it.
This 5-string electric bass has a lightweight arched basswood body with a lower cutaway, with a black satin finish, black hardware, a dark rosewood fingerboard with black pearl flying bat inlays. 24 jumbo frets, two EMG-40HZ series humbucker pickups and 4 control knobs for volume, blend, and active 2-band EQ with selectable treble frequencies give you the playability, sonics, and electronics to shred with the best of them.
