Two-Channel Design
As stated above, the Archon Combo Amp comes equipped with two incredible channels for you to lay down the foundations of your tone.
With the Lead channel you are presented with a versatile array of overdriven tones, designed to cover everything from Classic Rock to Modern Metal with ease.
The Clean channel, on the other hand, boasts a rich voice with plenty of headroom, ensuring that your playing remains clear and articulate, even at high volumes.
All-Valve Construction
Working hard to power the incredible voice of this amplifier, you'll find two 6CA7 power tubes - which fall somewhere between EL34's and 6L6's - that offer a warm, full, and articulate voice with a smooth high end, and tight low end.
In addition to this, the preamp houses 6 ECC835 tubes - often refered to as 12AX7's - which are renowned for offering a harmonically rich sound, with a detailed low end, and warm high end that's simply perfect for high gain saturation.
Giving voice to this incredible amplifier is a single 12" Celestion V-Type speaker, which offers full, extended lows, and a sweet midrange.
Three-Dimensional Tone-Shaping
In addition to controls for Volume and Master volume, each of the channels above features an independent 3-band EQ, with accurate tone-shaping controls for Treble, Middle, and Bass frequencies.
Each channel also sports its own Bright switch, which acts almost as a Treble boost, allowing you to add a little shine to the amp's upper-register without ever sounding ice-picky.
As a final touch, the Archon 50 features global controls for Presence (mids and highs) and Depth (bass), which allow you to unleash the full potential of your tone stack, offering much-more 3 dimensional approach to tone-shaping.
