The Mesa Boogie 5:50 Express is a versatile, all-tube amplifier designed to deliver a wide range of tones, from clean jazz and blues to high-gain rock and metal. Featuring Mesa's renowned craftsmanship, the 5:50 Express offers 50 watts of pure tube power, driven by a pair of 6L6 power tubes and five 12AX7 preamp tubes. This amp is perfect for players who want flexibility without sacrificing tonal quality, whether they are practicing at home, playing small gigs, or recording in the studio.
One of the standout features of the 5:50 Express is its Duo-Class power switching, which allows you to switch between 5-watt Class A operation and 50-watt Class AB operation. The 5-watt mode offers rich, saturated tones at lower volumes, perfect for home or studio use, while the 50-watt mode delivers plenty of headroom and punch for live performances. This power flexibility gives players the ability to dial in the exact amount of warmth, saturation, and dynamics, making the amp incredibly adaptable across different settings.
The 5:50 Express also features two fully independent channels, each with its own selectable voicing modes.
