Ibanez SR506 6-String Bass, in Brown Mahogany Finish
For more than thirty years now, the Ibanez SR range of basses has been a modern alternative to all low-end players. From the super-affordable to super-exclusive ends of the spectrum, the Ibanez SR has continually excited players with it's smooth, fast neck, lightweight body and exquisite electronics system.
Premium Quality at an Affordable Price
The Ibanez SR506 is a mid-range 6-string wonder, perfect for a variety of play styles and settings, that performs at a level which completely belies it's affordable asking price.
Jatoba/Bubinga Slim Neck
This ultra-fast, slim neck is constructed through the coupling of Jatoba and Bubinga, exotic woods renowned for being lightweight yet strong. This has allowed Ibanez to construct a light, slim neck that's fully capable of withstanding the tension of 6 taut bass guitar strings whilst remaining ultra-comfortable to play.
Extended Neck Joint
A relatively new feature to SR basses, the extended neck joint not only helps create a unique look, but also makes the higher frets much more accessible.
Bartolini MK1 Pickups
These awesome split-coil pickups provide an extensive frequency range and an accutely enhanced tonal definition, offering the maximum amount of accuracy. Both pickups have an equal amount of response, like traditional single coils, but without the hum and noise.
Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ w/ Mid Frequency Switch
The tonal variations on offer through this excellent in-built EQ system help make this bass stand head and shoulders above all competitors. The highly accurate frequency adjustments help enhance simple chord work, as well as complex soloing.
Accu-cast B306 Bridge
The SR506's bridge has been specially designed ot afford precise intonation, conductively delivering the perfect levels of string-to-body vibration.
Words alone don't do the SR series of bass guitars justice. My recommendation would be for you to get in touch with your local PMT Store to see if they have any available in stock for you to have a demonstration on, then you'll see for yourself that I'm not exaggerating when I say that they're easily the best value for money, offering you something different at an affordable price in a market that's overly saturated with copies of copies of copies.
