The EVH 5150 III 50W 6L6 Head continues the tradition of the iconic 5150 amp, which has been a cornerstone in rock and metal music for years. In 2018, EVH expanded this lineup with the introduction of the 5150 III 50W 6L6 amplifiers. These amps feature the raw power of dual 6L6 power tubes, delivering 50W of output and three versatile channels, all housed in a compact and portable enclosure.
American Tones:
The 5150 is renowned for its ability to produce fat, saturated distorted tones with a slightly scooped mid-range and incredible top-end presence. It has been the go-to amplifier for metal musicians for over two decades. The new 5150 III 50W 6L6 amplifiers continue to push the boundaries of this signature sound. With three channels, you can achieve a wide range of tones suitable for various styles of music, not just metal. The clean channel provides bright and vibrant tones, while Channel 2 offers sweet crunch tones and tight distortion for rhythm playing. Channel 3 delivers high-gain chaos, perfect for leads with its smooth and compressed distortion.
Extra Features:
The amplifiers come with a range of additional features to enhance your playing experience. They include a built-in series effects loop, a line out for direct connection to PA systems, a headphone output for silent practice, and a MIDI input for channel switching.
