Epiphone Tony Iommi SG Special, Vintage Cherry Key Features
Iconic Guitar Design - The 1964 Gibson SG is an iconic electric guitar that helped to shape the sound of rock and metal music for years to come. Tony Iommi's own heavily modified '64 SG was at the centre of most of his monstrous riffs and solos, and with this model you get a modern, affordable take on that legendary axe.
Superb Playability - In addition to the SG's lightweight and slimline body design, this guitar features a smooth-playing Mahogany neck with a rounded "C"-shaped profile. In addition to this, the Laurel fingerboard has been bound, making for uninterrupted riffing and chording up the whole neck.
Monstrous Tones - A pair of chrome-covered Epiphone PRO P-90 pickups deliver that amazing early 1960s guitar tone which the SG Special is renowned for. In addition to this a set of CTS Potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors ensure that your tonal quality is consistent when adjusting your output.
Top Notch Hardware - Bringing it all together to ensure you sound at your very best with each performance is a host of high-end hardware and appointment. Amongst this hardware you will find a Graph Tech nut, Grover Rotomatic Tuners with contemporary-style buttons, and an adjustable wraparound bridge.
Hardshell Case Included - To keep the gutiar safe as you travel from show to show, Epiphone have included a form-fitted hardshell case. To complete the original look there's even a static cling reproduction of Tony's "Monkey" sticker included.
