MPK Mini Play serves as a standalone mini synth, as well as a portable USB MIDI Keyboard. Packed with 128 sounds, its own built-in speaker, 8 backlit MPC drum pads & ergonomic MIDI rotary controls for easy sound tweaking. MPK Mini Play also features a 4-way joystick for simple, tactile MIDI control over effects, VST or DAW software parameters.

Responsive Mini Keybed

Unlike other portable MIDI Keyboards, Akai MPK Mini Play features a synth-like action across 25 mini keys that mimick larger MIDI keyboards in the Akai MPK family. For knocking out ideas and grooves on the move, it's absolutely perfect. Octave UP / Down buttons give you access to the full melodic range.

Packed with MIDI Controls

With 8 MPC-style drum pads that feature Full Level and Note Repeat functions (just like an MPC Live or MPC X!), its a particularly valuable tool when programming MIDI drums or loops. 6 of the upper-range keys also feature Swing Presets (50-64%), similar to the flagship MPC Drum machines.

You've also got added performance options with a built-in MIDI Arpeggiator, featuring Tap Tempo, and Octave switches, as well as performance controls on the 'Shift' keybed functionality.

OLED Display

Unlike previous editions of the Akai MPK Mini, Play features a built-in OLED Display that makes patch browsing for the built-in sounds super easy.
